(VOVworld)- Cuban President Raul Castro called on Latin American and Caribbean leaders Tuesday to work together for peace, stability and development. He was speaking as host for the summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States , or CELAC, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Members agreed on a declaration to tackle poverty, disarmament, while sending a strong signal to the US that Latin America does not accept an isolated Cuba . During his meeting with Cuban leader Fidel Castro, UN Chief Ban Ki Moon had discussion about the situation in Africa , Syrian conflict, global food security and climate change. He praised Cuban healthcare system and its mobilization of Cuban health workers to disadvantaged areas, especially in anti-cholera campaign in Haiti .
