The 35,000 seat Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium was the venue of the event, which highlighted tradition and modernity of South Korea and the people’s hope for peace. As always, Greece began the parade, given the country's history in the Games - the first modern Olympics were held in Athens. With the official motto of the 2018 Winter Olympics as "Passion, Connected", the Winter Olympics will be ongoing until February, 25th. 3,000 athletes from 92 countries and territories will compete for 102 sets of medals.
