(VOVworld) – The Thai government has approved an aid package of 320 billion baht to promote the economy in the rest of the year.

The package focuses on generating jobs and increasing people’s income. The government will also consider the approval of 380 projects worth nearly 430 billion baht and boost investment expenditure in the fiscal year of 2014 and 2015. A committee is likely to be set up to supervise investment projects and expenditures at provinces. The Thai Centre bank forecast that the government’s aid package might raise economic growth to 4.8 percent in 2015.
