(VOVworld) – Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said in a cabinet meeting on Tuesday that she will not resign until a new Prime Minister is elected and a new government is established. She also called on the people to vote in the upcoming elections. The same day, the opposition Democratic Party convened its annual meeting and re-elected former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva its President. Abhisit said participants discussed his party’s organizational reform and amendments to a number of regulations. He said that the new leadership will decide whether to boycott the government-initiated elections.
