At a press meeting on Monday, Ms. Paetongtarn said that she had a discussion with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet immediately after the border clash on May 28, affirming that both sides agreed on the desire for peace, avoiding conflicts and protecting people in the border area.
She also affirmed that the recent meeting of the Thai-Cambodian Joint Border Committee (JBC) in Phnom Penh took place in a friendly atmosphere and achieved certain progress, emphasizing the commitment to maintaining a bilateral mechanism to resolve disputes between the two countries.
