Thai Nguyen province celebrates 60th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit

(VOVWORLD) - Thai Nguyen province, home to many revolutionary sites, held a ceremony on Thursday to mark the 60th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the province on January 1, 1964.

At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue praised the efforts and achievements that the administration and people of Thai Nguyen have achieved during the past 60 years. He called on the province to continue administrative reform, improve its investment and business environment, expand its businesses, and attract domestic and foreign investment.

It’s necessary to boost urban development and unlock the potential for tourism and high-tech agriculture, he said: “Thai Nguyen province needs to develop a contingent of leaders who are dynamic and creative, who dare to think and dare to do for the benefit of all. It needs to improve the effectiveness of local administrators and enhance State management in every field. The focus should be on developing socio-economic infrastructure, especially transportation infrastructure associated with economic corridors, and developing high-quality human resources.”

Thursday afternoon, the National Assembly Chairman offered incense at the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh at the Dinh Hoa Safety Zone, a specicial national relic site, and inspected new rural area projects.
