According to The Today online newspaper, this is a major reform in Vietnam since the "Doi Moi" renewal policy in 1986, marking the beginning of Vietnam’s integration into the global economy with significant achievements. The article said this move promptly helps Vietnam better respond to global challenges.

The Nation highlighted the  Vietnamese National Assembly's approval of the amended Law on Government Organization, saying  the law paves the way for the effort to streamline the state apparatus 15% to 20%, thus reducing costs and enhancing efficiency of the system.

The Bangkok Post analyzed Vietnam’s effort to streamline the government’s apparatus, saying it is the key to achieve the 8% economic growth target this year, toward a double-digit growth in the coming years.
