Thai Election Commission (EC) asks the Constitutional Court to postpone the election

The reason is that there are still 28 polling stations which do not meet the Commission’s requirements­ and there is a shortage of ballot-box supervisors. Nutrawong said the Commission will continue preparing for the election while the Constitutional Court considers the proposal.

This move by the EC comes after the Thai government declared a 60-day state of emergency beginning today in Bangkok and neighboring provinces.
