(VOVworld) – A delegation of representatives from provinces and cities nationwide arrived on Tho Chu Island on Thursday to present Tet gifts to local soldiers and civilians as the Lunar New Year festival approaches.

It is part of a program to deliver gift and Tet greetings to soldiers, military personnel, and civilians on Vietnam’s Southwestern islands. On Wednesday, the delegation reached Phu Quoc island in Kien Giang province with gifts of food and other staples to help the soldiers stationed there enjoy a happy Tet festival 2015 and encourage them to protect Vietnam’s sea and islands.
