The opening ceremony of Techmart-Techfest Mekong 2019

The event, which opened on Tuesday, promotes the application of technology to production and helps enterprises update their production equipment to increase their competitiveness during international integration.

Tran Van Tung, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, said the fair creates an environment linking science and technology with production and business and step up technology transfer and application.

He said: “Applying technology to production will boost productivity and lower the price of products. We use science and technology to increase product value and promote sustainable development. We hope Can Tho, which is a major exporter of agricultural and fishery products, will benefit from this event.”

The event will include matchmaking sessions between investors and startup projects.
