Expected to attract over 20,000 domestic and international runners, this year's race continues to be certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), which means runners’ results are recognized globally and they will have greater opportunities to take part in prestigious races like the Boston Marathon or London Marathon.

The 8th season's competition kit is designed with inspiration from the vision of developing Ho Chi Minh City into an international megacity, including a drawstring bag, competition jersey, marathon finisher jersey and finisher medal.
The kit features three symbols: Ben Thanh market - a unique cultural and commercial landmark of the City; Binh Duong Administrative Center building - a new urban vitality; and Vung Tau lighthouse - an intersection between land and sea.
Ahead of the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon 2025, the 10th Mass Participation World Congress (MPW25) will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 4 and 5.
