Tran Binh An, a representative of the Cuu Long Corporation for Investment, Development and Project Management of Infrastructure, said 90% of the upgrade of the 3-km-long, 46-meter-wide runway and its components for flight departure and arrival has been completed.
Once the test is approved, the runway will be put back into operation from the end of this year.
The project to upgrade Tan Son Nhat airport has a total investment of 87 million USD and began in July, 2020.
