(VOVworld) – Nearly 50 Taiwanese companies participated in a trade exchange Thursday to seek local partners in the machinery, industrial equipment, rubber, garment and textile, and footwear industries.

At the program held by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in Ho Chi Minh City, Taiwanese investors expressed their hope of broadening investment in Vietnam and boosting trade between the two nations.

There are more than 2,700 Taiwanese businesses operating in Vietnam, 1,000 of them in Ho Chi Minh City.
