(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Finance has exempted and reduced taxes for enterprises in response to the government’s resolution on assisting enterprises’ production and business activities. Accordingly, since May this year, the tax sector has extended more than 9.9 trillion VND worth of VAT for around 200,000 enterprises, and nearly 350 billion VND in corporate income tax for nearly 8,000 enterprises. In addition, the tax sector has exempted more than 10 billion VND in annual operation tax this year for more than 40,000 fishermen and salt producers. This effort has been resulted in the reduction of bankruptcy among businesses. Many enterprises have resumed their production and the number of profitable enterprises has increased from 3 to 4% a month.
