Syrian forces liberate last bastion of ISIS

(VOVWORLD) - Syrian forces have fully liberated the last major ISIS-held town in Syria. In a statement, the Syrian Army General Command said government troops, in cooperation with Hezbollah, liberated Al-Bukamal, a city 140 km southeast of Deir Ez-Zor.

The statement said the liberation of the city is of great importance since it represents the collapse of ISIS in the region and a blow to the illusions of its sponsors and supporters.
