It is the latest progress in a string of operations the Syrian army and allied fighters have launched in the Syrian desert. According to the Syrian Observatory For Human Rights, military forces are surrounding another neighboring area near Hama, the last area left controlled by ISIS.
On Thursday, the Syrian army laid full siege on ISIS in the desert after having liberated Al-Sukhnah city in northwestern Homs province.
