(VOVworld) - The Syrian air force on Sunday killed 30 Islamic State (IS) troops in Qaryateyn town in the central province of Homs. The Syrian’s air strikes destroyed  IS vehicles and weapons.

Last week, IS militants stormed the town after carrying out several suicide car bombings on its outskirts.  The group then snatched 230 civilians, including 60 Christians, women and children. The number includes 19 children, whose fate is still unknown, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
