(VOVworld)- The UN Security Council on Wednesday called a closed-door meeting to discuss whether chemical weapons were used by the Syrian army to kill 1300 people outside Damascus. The meeting was urged by Britain, France, the US, and South Korea. UN inspectors led by Ake Sellstrom are investigating the situation and conducting a dialogue with the Syrian government, which has denied the opposition’s accusation that the army used chemical weapons. The Syria Arab News Agency (SANA) said the accusation is groundless.
