(VOVworld)- The United Nations envoy to Syria is sending a mission to the contested city of Aleppo in northern Syria to access the situation. According to the Syrian National News Agency (SANA), the decision was made after talks in Damascus between Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al Moallem and the UN envoy Staffan de Mistura. However, there was no information on when the UN Fact-Finding Mission will go to Aleppo. The Syrian army and insurgents both control parts of the Aleppo areas.
