(VOVworld) – The 10^th Regional Security Summit: The Manama Dialogue 2014 on the Middle East opened in Bahrain on Friday.

The summit was organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). Around 400 participants, including government ministers, security chiefs, analysts and experts from around the globe, are attending. During the three-day summit, delegates will discuss efforts to counter extremism in the region and conflicts in Iraq and Syria as well as negotiations on Iran's nuclear program and Palestine’s issue. The delegates will also discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and Egypt.
