The car was parked near a restaurant, and the blast went off at a busy time when shoppers and traders were gathered inside the market. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack but rebel group Al Shabaab often causes such kind of attack. According to local media, several hours after the attack, Al Shabaab threatened to continue fighting the Somalian government, which has offered a 100,000 USD reward for information on who carried out the deadly bombing.
