(VOVworld)- State President Truong Tan Sang has urged Vietnam’s Marine Police to work more closely with other marine forces to defend the country’s marinetime territories and jurisdiction rights while ensuring safety for individuals and organizations operating in Vietnam’s sea. He made the remarks during a working session with soldiers and staff of the Marine Police Department today/Monday. The state leader called on marine police to better preserve the country’s marine resources, prevent sea pollution and detect any illegal activities in its sea territories. They are urged to actively cooperate with neighboring countries’ forces for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development among countries in accordance with international laws. President Sang asked marine forces to improve legal education for people and organization working legally on Vietnam’s sea and continent.
