According to the decision, the standing office is led by a Deputy Minister of Defense, who is also a standing member of the steering committee.
The office is in charge of advising the committee chair on directions, tasks, and measures to settle major issues, and mobilizing resources for overcoming post-war UXO and toxic chemical consequences. It is also tasked with mapping out mid-term, long-term, and annual plans to implement related national action programs and coordinating related agencies and people.
