Spring Festival opens

(VOVWORLD) - The Spring of the Dragon Festival is underway opening in Hanoi until February 1, featuring products of craft villages such as ceramic products of Huong Canh village in Vinh Phuc, Giang Cao village in Hanoi, and Chu Dau village in Hai Duong province.

The festival also showcases Vietnamese special tea products, local tourism and specialties, and ao dai collections painted with the images of the dragons.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said: “This year's Spring Festival features specialties of localities, craft villages, and traditional trades. The Ministry of Culture aims to develop the cultural industry to create new economic values.”

The Festival also displays art works inspired by the dragon mascot, such as one hundred ceramic products by Emeritus Artisan Pham Van Tuyen from Hai Phong city, 40 paintings with the theme "Dragon and Flower" by painter Nghiem Diep Anh, and paintings by Hoang Truc, which was set by the Vietnam Records Organization as the largest collection of paintings on the theme "Dragon Transformation" painted on areca wood material in Vietnam.
