The PM on Tuesday had a working session with representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and met with outstanding athletes, including those who are about to head to Japan for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The PM highlighted the strong development of mass sport movements, and due attention to sports for people with disabilities over the past time, saying all Vietnamese have equal access to sports. The athletes expressed their delight at the attention and sentiments the Party and State leaders and people have given to them and the sector in general, and their hope for more investments in sports infrastructure.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics athletes promised to observe regulations of organisers and the Vietnamese delegation, ensure COVID-19 prevention and control, and do their best at the tournament.
On this occasion, Chinh presented gifts to outstanding athletes and a certificate of merit to the national men’s football squad.
