The Constitutional Court removed Park from office in a historic ruling on March 10, making Park Korea’s first president to be ousted by impeachment. She was accused of allowing her confidante Choi Soon-sil to interfere in South Korea’s internal affairs and benefit from her personal relations with the President.
Park will be indicted before the end of the 20-day detention period on 13 charges, including corruption, bribery, abuse of authority, coercion, and the leaking of classified documents.
