According to leading Korean media outlets, part of the discussion’s agenda was President Yoon Suk Yeol’s resignation roadmap as soon as possible. In addition, measures to reassure the public following the parliament’s failure to pass a resolution to impeach the president were also on the agenda.

South Korean diplomatic sources quoted a spokesman of the Defense Ministry as saying  that Yoon was still legally commander in chief. The police agency said that it is considering issuing an order to ban Yoon from foreign travel.

The Korean press reported that on Monday night there will likely be an official investigation order from the South Korean court against former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who is being detained by the prosecutor's office on charges of "causing internal chaos" after martial law was declared on the night of December 3.
