(VOVworld) – On Monday, South Korean President Park Geun-hye ordered the military to be in a state of full combat readiness following emerging threats from North Korea.

At a top-level meeting with government authorities, Ms. Park Geun-hye asked the government to work on effective measures to deal with North Korea’s increasing nuclear and missile capability.
In another development, the South Korean Unification Ministry said there was a possibility that North Korea would make more military moves as the South Korea-US joint military drill “the Ulchi Freedom Guardian” is taking place. Ministry spokesperson Jeong Joon-hee said South Korea was closely watching the situation to deal with any developments.
