The fund, initiated by a group of Vietnamese expats living in Singapore, plans to grant 60 scholarships, worth 88 USD each, to Vietnamese students this year. Speaking at the annual fundraising event last weekend, the Fund’s Executive Head Luu Quang Trung said all funds aim at granting scholarships to outstanding students who have overcome their difficulties. He said each student will receive 132 USD scholarship from 2019.

Beside Singapore, the Orchid Scholarship Fund is active in Japan, Denmark, and the US.
