(VOVworld) – The EU announced Tuesday that Serbia and Kosovo reached a series of agreements on 4 key issues, including energy and telecommunications, moving toward the normalisation of bi-lateral relations.

Among the agreements was one on Mitrovica Bridge in northern Kosovo, which divides Serb and Kosovan communities

The EU hailed the agreement as it will benefit both the two peoples and their EU memberships. Ties between Serbia and Kosovo were severed since Kosovo unilaterally declared independence in 2008.
