Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung said Vietnam Information Security Day, held during 11 years, has become an important annual event and a major international forum for exchanging information, experiences, and solutions to raise public awareness about information safety.

Mr. Hung called on state agencies and social organizations to continually update their knowledge and technology in order for their systems and network safety professionals to be able to combat cyber criminals and attacks.

Themed “Cyber security for the age of artificial intelligence and smart devices”, this year’s seminar was organized by Vietnam Information Security Association, Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team, and the Ministry of Information and Communications.
