(VOVworld)-More than 610,000 candidates from all over the country attending the second phase of the university and college entrance exams on Tuesday sat for their first subject, a 3-hour written exam, in the morning. The exams are for subject Groups B, C and D; Group B consists of mathematics, biology, and chemistry; Group C comprises literature, history and geography; and Group D includes mathematics, literature and foreign languages. Tran Thanh Huyen, a candidate for the Academy of Journalism and Communication, said:   “This year’s Group D mathematics questions are as doable as last year’s, but contain some more difficult sections to select superior students.  I completed most of the questions. Group D mathematics questions are much easier than the questions of Group A.”

This year’s Group C geography questions are about Vietnam’s Sea and Islands, Vietnam’s sovereignty, and conditions and potential to develop agriculture and aquaculture. Dinh Thi Tu, a candidate for the Law Faculty of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities said: “I think the geography questions are not too difficult and that the average student who carefully studied the text book could answer most of the questions. This year’s questions mainly focused on the topic of Vietnam’s Sea and Islands, agriculture and aquaculture. I think the first question about the East Sea is a very important question but it is not difficult to answer because a lot of information and updated news of the East Sea have been reported on public media as well as taught in school.”
