The Vietnamese cargo ship Saigon Queen, with a crew of 22 on board, sank off Sri Lanka on Tuesday. The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka has been coordinating with local agencies to help the 18 crewmen who have been rescued and search for the four who are still missing. According to the National Committee for Search and Rescue, eighteen sailors were rescued by a Cyprus-flagged ship, the Pacific Skipper, and will be taken to Mongla port in Bangladesh. The Vietnamese embassy in Bangladesh is working to ensure that the rescued sailors will soon be sent home.
