(VOVworld) - Scotland remains a part of the UK so its voice needs to be heard at Westminster, said Nicola Sturgeon, the Scottish National Party’s (SNP) leader and First Minister of Scotland, on Sunday. The SNP supports parties who oppose the austerity program currently being implemented by Prime Minister David Cameron.

Recent polls have shown that the 2 biggest parties in the UK, the Conservatives and Labor, are unlikely to win a clear majority of seats at the general election in May. But with enough support, the Conservatives, joined by other parties, could form a minority government.
