At a press conference in Berlin, he said Germany will stay involved in the effort.

In a statement to Reuters, China's foreign ministry said the talks in Saudi Arabia helped to consolidate international consensus on finding a peaceful solution to the Ukraine crisis.

China is committed to strengthening dialogue on its peace proposal and fostering mutual trust.

Saudi Arabia said participants agreed on the importance of continued international consultations and exchanges of views, with the aim of establishing a collective platform that will bring peace to Ukraine.
