Russia’s State Duma hails Vietnam’s preparations for IPU 132

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son and Vice Chairman of Russia’s State Duma Andrey Klimov met Wednesday in Moscow to discuss specific measures to boost relations between the two ruling parties and legislative bodies.

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son and Vice Chairman of Russia’s State Duma Andrey Klimov met Wednesday in Moscow to discuss specific measures to boost relations between the two ruling parties and legislative bodies.
Klimov hailed the fine traditional relationship between Vietnam and Russia and highlighted new prospects for stronger bilateral ties: "We are looking forward to United Russia Party Chairman and Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev’s visit to Vietnam. During the visit, a number of important issues will be discussed to boost bilateral ties."
Klimov praised Vietnam’s preparations for the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly (IPU-132) to be hosted by Vietnam for the first time and reiterated Russia’s willingness to assist Vietnam in organizing the event.
