Russian search and rescue team leave Egypt

(VOVworld) – A Russian search and rescue team that was brought to Egypt after the plane crash in the Sinai Peninsula flew home to Moscow Wednesday.

(VOVworld) – A Russian search and rescue team that was brought to Egypt after the plane crash in the Sinai Peninsula flew home to Moscow Wednesday. The team of 48 had been recovering bodies at the crash site, 70 km south of the city of el-Arish. Other Russians remain in Egypt as part of the investigation team seeking to determine the cause of the crash.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry told CNN Tuesday that Egypt has accepted an offer from FBI agents and other US experts to assist the investigation of the Russian plane that crashed in the Sinai on 31 October, killing 224 people on board.
