Last Saturday, the Kremlin said Putin and Erdogan discussed the successful implementation of joint strategic projects in the energy sector during a phone call, including the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant.
Inaugurated in 2018, the 20-billion-USD project will allow Turkey to join the small club of nations with civil nuclear energy.
