In a statement released on Monday, Peskov said Russia will announce the exact date of the next round of negotiations once it is confirmed. He said the drafts of memoranda by Moscow and Kyiv will require extensive discussion by the two parties.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday that Kyiv has offered to meet this week with Russian negotiators, adding, “Everything should be done to achieve a ceasefire.”
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Russia does not rule out the possibility of a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump if they are in Beijing at the same time in September.
Peskov confirmed that President Putin will visit China for events marking 80 years since the end of World War II, but said Moscow had not heard whether President Trump plans to attend.
