Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko.
(VOVworld) - Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Russia on a provisional price for gas deliveries during the coming winter months. But he added that Kiev needs international support to pay for the gas. Poroshenko said the agreed price will be 385 USD per 1,000 cubic metres and will be valid by the end of next March. Poroshenko said that state-run energy company Naftogaz was short of funds to pay for Russian gas partly because of debts created by consumers in eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions. He said a mission of the IMF is due to arrive in Kiev in mid-November to discuss amendments to the current loan program for Ukraine.
