On Telegram, Vladimir Medinsky, aide to President Putin, said Russia transferred the bodies of 1,212 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while Ukraine handed over the remains of 27 Russian servicemen.

Medinsky said the repatriation of remains is being carried out within the framework of the Istanbul Agreement, and the process will continue in the coming days.

The two sides will conduct further exchanges of prisoners, prioritizing those who are seriously wounded, critically ill, and individuals under 25 years old.
