(VOVworld) – Sergey Naryshkin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma, stated on Monday that co-operation between Russia and Serbia has reached a strategic level.

At a reception for Speaker of the Serbian Parliament Maja Gojkovic, Naryshkin said Russia treasures its ties with Serbia given the shortage of mutual trust between Russia and the EU, which may jeopardise security and peace in Europe.
Gojkovic said Serbia and Russia have a bright prospect for further co-operation, adding that Serbia will never impose sanctions on Russia even with Serbia about to join the EU.
