Earlier, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Anatoly Antonov said he had agreed with US officials to establish contacts on bilateral issues next week.

The Kremlin stresses the importance of considering all issues affecting Russia-US relations, rather than isolating specific topics, according to Peskov.

The US and other Western countries imposed sanctions against many individuals and entities in Russia after Russia launched a military campaign in Ukraine in February 2022.
