He said that Russia continues maintaining the principled stance of a comprehensive, sustainable, and just settlement. Galuzin said the original foundations of Ukraine’s sovereignty – its neutral, non-bloc adherence and non-nuclear status – must be verified in order to reach a settlement.
The Deputy Foreign Minister also noted that Western countries and Ukraine are promoting the so-called peace formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky at the G20 summit last November. He said this formula is not related to a peaceful solution but presents an “ultimatum” to Russia.
