The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency cooperated with airlines, airports and aviation security agencies to work out a comprehensive package measure to prevent illegal attacks on Russia’s civil aviation. Under the plan, passengers and their relatives as well as their luggage will be carefully checked at airports with specialized facilities and trained dogs. The crew on any flights to Turkey will be screened to ensure security.

In another development, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow will not threaten to retaliate Ankara for shooting down of Russia’s Su-24 warplane but said Ankara’s actions will surely affect relations between the two countries, including the project to build a gas pipeline to Turkey.
