UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said on Thursday that the Russia replied in the affirmative, but they were still waiting for others to do the same. He added that all trucks were ready and could leave anytime they got the message.
Jan Egeland, who is taking charge of the UN’s humanitarian affairs, said the aid delivery to Aleppo included food delivery to the militant-held eastern and government-controlled western regions, and repairs of the electrical system in the south that served power for eight water pumping stations and 2 million people.
