“July is the month to pay gratitude to heroic martyrs. Quang Tri province was once the frontline between the North and the South of Vietnam, so holding a requiem for heroic martyrs here is more meaningful,” Head of the Quang Tri Buddhist Sangha Executive Council Thich Thien Tan said.

The requiem will run until Thursday at cemeteries in Quang Tri province to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for national independence and freedom and to pray for peace.
