Requiem held for fallen combatants in Ha Giang

(VOVWORLD) - A requiem was held on the weekend at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery in the northern province of Ha Giang to pay tribute to soldiers and people who died during resistance wars against foreign invaders.

The event, hosted by Quan Am pagoda and Green Leave charity fund, also aimed to pray for peace for the country and safety for the people and educate the younger generation about patriotism and contributions made by their predecessors to national independence and freedom. 

The organizers presented 1,000 gifts worth 32,000 USD to war invalids, sick soldiers and policy beneficiaries in Ha Giang.
