Major traffic routes in the province are cut off. The main artery connecting the western communes is severely eroded, traffic is paralyzed, and rescue forces cannot access the region by road. The Ministry of National Defense mobilized six helicopter flights to carry 18 tons of supplies, food, medicine, and drinking water to the isolated communes. Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc is Commander of the provincial Border Guard Command.
“The water has receded now. We’re working closely with local authorities and residents to stabilize daily life, conduct clean-up efforts, and coordinate with the commune’s health center to disinfect and decontaminate the flooded areas,” said Luc.
