Student Do Phuong Thao said: “We should do good deeds anytime and anywhere we can to help the community. This is the second time I have donated blood. I call on other people to donate blood.”
National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu spoke at the event: “Donating blood is an honourable act, which upholds the tradition of “love your neighbours as yourself”. I hope that leaders, managers, and organizations donate blood or organize blood donation days to help sick people, especially those who are in need of blood transfusion.”
The Red Sunday program has collected 3,000 units of bloods since December 19. It hopes to receive 50,000 units of blood when the program ends on January 28.
